Will Sarah Palin getting the tap for Veep mean a refound attraction for Alaskan culture in American popular culture?

God, I hope so.

How Not To Get Laid. How cute we all once were.

Drive by Truckers and Hold Steady are playing two shows in NYC together during their "Rock 'n Roll Means Well" tour. I jumped the gun and bought tickets for Thursday night on presale, and now of course there are plenty of tickets for Friday, but at least it will give me a reason to take a three day weekend, or just have a very lazy Friday. Super stoked. This will def be one for the ages. I know it's early to get too excited, but my money is on them collaborating on at least two or three songs, and it will shake. The. Earth.

SPOILER ALERT: X-FILES. Not like anyone is going to see this movie anyway.

Things I thought while watching the X-Files movie:

"Are you fucking kidding me? The song doesn't start with the whistle! It starts with the moog."
"Where's the moog?"
"Oh man, are you kidding me?"
"Is that Amanda Peet? Oh get the hell out of here."
"1st whistle theme song, lame. 2nd whistle theme song, George W Bush?"
"Since when are M & S doing it?"
"STEM CELLS?" pbbbtt
"Gun would not hit the ground three seconds before body hits the ground. I thought this show was SCIENCES."
"Love, blah blah blah, shut the fuck up, whurs the ghosts?"
"This movie would have been a THOUSAND times better if they had been running a baby factory for harvesting stem cells, explaining the missing limbs (baby mamas don't need arms to make babies) and tie in the lame stem cells crap."
"Don't give up, cause there's a place, where we belong." YESS PETER GABRIEL. Am I the only one who heard the similarity?

Overall rating: 6/10 but that's mostly because of the franchise and the last twenty minutes, which actually got kind of awesome.

This should draw some of the best talent in NYC, so hopefully it'll be a fun show.

The new Ben Folds record is a freaking downer, man. I don't care if these are fake, or outtakes, or what, they are still really good, and I'm now trying to justify spending $100+ on a concert.

Is that the most exciting thing going on in my life at the moment? Clearly, yes, it is.
